Monday (sunday lol) Mix #7

Alright, so this started off as a Progressive House mix, but I was compelled to throw in some David Guetta at the beginning, because that song is so catchy and awesome. The rest of it is, for the most part, Prog House from the likes of Nic Chagell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Solarity. After making this mix I've found myself really entranced by this genre, and I think it may become one of my new favorites. This mix is rough, as I am kind of out of practice following my short break. Jezebel Cover - Iron and Wine

Alright, so I know I haven't posted any new mixes lately, and I would just like to say it is because I have been recording some acoustic tracks (and I have dj's block). This track is my first run through of Jezebel by Iron and Wine, a song some of you may remember me playing at koffeehaus. Give it a listen, and I hope you enjoy it, although it is still very rough, and in need of my real flute, instead of the penny whistle I used in this version.

Twice In A Blue Moon: Album Mix

I took it upon myself to mix Ferry Corsten's Twice In A Blue Moon. This Album was released last year, 2008, in an unmixed format. You will Find all the songs from the album with the exception of Gabriella's Sky, cause I couldn't figure out how to make it fit in there. Props to Corsten for producing such a beautiful album.

Pretty much, I just wanted to hear Daft Punk's Around The World/Harder Better Faster Stronger mashup, because its beast. Alright, I'm sorry to say, but there will be no Mixtape this week. I've been out of town, and didn't really get a chance to listen to enough music to get a good set of songs together.

In the meantime, expect for me to throw some acoustic covers that I recorded up at some point, and download any of the mixes that you havn't heard yet.

Monday Mix # 5

This week I did a Drum n Bass mix, all thanks to Conrad and his suggestion (see! feed me music foo's!). It's mainly Liquid DnB, a la High Contrast, but as far as sub genres go, I'm not very knowledgeable. Sorry about the super rough transition between songs 2 and 3, had to manually beatmatch, and my headphones broke, which made things kind of tough.

Well anyways, here is the mix. Great stuff to listen to when one is doing any form of traveling, running, driving, boating, biking, or whatever (its a tad longer than 10 min)

This week I bring you Hardstyle with limited mix proofreading (yay excuses!)

This one was trickier than I thought it would be, turns out most Hardstyle songs change tempo mid song, which kind of sucked. Tried to bring you the best parts of some great songs from the likes of Headhunterz, Ivan Carsten, etc.

Cant decide if I want to do a Trance or a Hardstyle mix. I would love to do a trance mix, but I just did it a little while ago, so I will probably do a hardstyle mix to keep things variated

I guess I'll just have to wait and see what I feel like doing.

Man, I love this track off of Ferry Corsten's album "Twice In a Blue Moon", but the Push remix is just pure amazing. It gives the track the boost it needs, to take those vocals, and that slightly dirty synth, out on to the dance floor!

Alright guys and girls, here's my second Mix of the summer. This one doesn't really live up to the last one, but I'm tired, and I figure I won't be able to make it any better. This one is *kind of* electro/houseish, but not all of the songs will really fit into those genres. Tried to have some fun with some different remixes this time, and overall Deadmau5 dominated the list.
